Changes to Xstreet SL Private Messages
As we announced last week, we'll be releasing a number of changes to Xstreet SL this Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009.  In addition to the changes already announced, we would like to let you know about a change to private messages.
 
As part of the continuing integration of Xstreet SL with Second Life, we will be disabling the private message feature on Xstreet SL.  No need to worry; we're not eliminating private messages.  As Pink previously mentioned, private messages are enabled in the Second Life Commerce Forums which is where you will now be able to go for your private messaging needs.
 
To use private messages in the Commerce forums you must first log in. Next click on someone's profile picture.  When the profile appears, select "Send Private message" under Actions. Type in your message, click send message and your message will be on its way.
 
The disabling of private messages on Xstreet SL will happen in two phases.  On September 23rd, we will only disable the ability to send new private messages.  Users will still be able to read their existing private messages.  In a future release we will disable the remaining Xstreet SL private message functionality.
 
So, if you haven't already, please begin your migration to using the Second Life Commerce Forum Private Messages in place of the old Xstreet SL Private Messages.
